Working some more with my Blowing in the wind image. This work was created in the Solo exhibition abstract worksop and is inspired by the Bob Dylan song Blowing in the wind

FGEATURED in THE GROUP on 21/8/12

I am passionate about all forms of art and enjoy painting in all media. I adore colour and am especially interested in creating different textural effects in my paintings as well as silkpainting. I have always loved photography and am exploring the experimental side to it, creating unique works and most recently of all using digital textures with my art and photography. I hope you like viewing my works!

Of course I had to compare, and it seems like the main (or only) difference is the lightening of the lower right. To me that has the effect of making the entire image feel more ethereal, and I like the change.

  • Thanks so much Celeste for your lovely comment and fave. That is the only change really. I did do some more work but decided to go with this one for the final image for this work in the workshop. The other work was an image straight from the camera.

Oh, I like this one too Pauline. It’s softer and seems to drift while I watch. Fantastic!

  • Thanks so much Richard. The other one was straight from the camera but in the workshop Frannie made a suggestion that I lighten the area at the front to this is the result and my final piece for the workshop. It has been such fun to participate in and I have learnt so much!

Pauline, I love those summery warm watermelon colours and the soft hazy green of the grasses blowing in the wind. It is just so lovely to look at…

  • Thanks so much Helen for your wonderful comment and fave – the workshop was such fun!
