The power of the ocean by © Pauline Wherrell

Small (23.2" x 16.0")

Available to buy on…

Here as I was playing my relaxation music of the sounds of the sea I wanted to show both the power and strength and at the same time the calmness of the ocean. I was imagining looking through a large wave at the peace beyond. So this could also be interpreted as finding peace in a time of turmoil.
The painting is using mixed media and Golden fluid acrylics on boxed canvas measuring 60 by 80 cm. It is a very textural piece – I adore texture!

I am passionate about all forms of art and enjoy painting in all media. I adore colour and am especially interested in creating different textural effects in my paintings as well as silkpainting. I have always loved photography and am exploring the experimental side to it, creating unique works and most recently of all using digital textures with my art and photography. I hope you like viewing my works!

A painting! At first glance I thought this was created from glass. Lovely work with gorgeous colors.

  • Thanks so much for your wonderful comment and fav! I would love to work with glass but think it would be rather difficult!
