With this painting I was intending to depict one’s spiritual journey but everyone is encouraged interpret it in their own special way. I love to create texture with all my paintings but my texture here was created with no added materials. It is purely acrylic ink on watercolour paper and the original painting measures 36 by 53 cm.

I am passionate about all forms of art and enjoy painting in all media. I adore colour and am especially interested in creating different textural effects in my paintings as well as silkpainting. I have always loved photography and am exploring the experimental side to it, creating unique works and most recently of all using digital textures with my art and photography. I hope you like viewing my works!

Beautiful, I use to get a smiliar effect using thinned down air-brush acrylic and putting it in the freezer. Instant freeze dried Jack Frost:-). The applcation has to be very thin though and have a thin coat of crystal clear put on Immediately.

  • Thank you! I didn’t get this effect by freezing though I have done quite a few actual “freezing” paintings by painting with acrylic ink in the actual freezing conditions outside in winter. Of course I didn’t think of the freezer!

;-D being a commercial artist, I used everything from the freezer to the kitchen stove oven. Anything to meet the deadlines.
