A photo of a dog rose taken with a Canon 1100D camera and a Canon 100mm macro lens. I have taken two photos of this dog rose which are virtually the same but with very subtle differences. I would love if you could look at both works and comment on the one that you prefer and say why. This one has sharper stamens but the other is more dreamy and I could make an iPhone cover with it! I think myself that this one is probably the better photo.

gorgeous!! Interested to see camera and lens mentioned, as I’ve just recently got a Canon 5D and can’t wait to acquire lenses….researching macro lens in particular!! Brilliant work!!..

    So thanks for the tips!!

    :)

  • Thanks so much Jan for your lovely comment and fave. I think a 5D is a much beter camera than mine – mine was the entry level one. I am trying to get to grips with macro and so often get blur in all the wrong places. I did a lot of research on macro lenses before buying this one and this one had good reviews and recommendations. I am not one to give tips – I am looking for them! I hope you get a macro lens soon and I can see some of your work with it and hopefully learn myself.
