It couldn’t have been a better opportunity than to be given the chance to go into space. The day started with a final fitting of the space suit, it was heavy and uncomfortable but there was so much going through my mind I soon forgot about it. The rest of my crew were having theirs fitted too there were 7 of us in total.

I was so excited. Lift off was 5 hours away yet but I had a feeling it would go really quickly.

It did!... We were strapped in our seats ready to go, I didn’t hear the count down until “3, 2, 1, ignition”. The noise was incredible we were shaken about so badly I thought the rocket would fall apart.

It didn’t.

15 million horse power was shooting us upwards towards the stars at over 17000 miles an hour…. Wow my dads car doesn’t go this fast I thought.

It wasn’t long before our shuttle had separated from the boosters and was docking with the space station.

We were to meet the team we were to replace because their 3 day space experience had come to an end. I hoped ours would never end.

The hatch opened and we were greeted by the experience leader. The other children weren’t there.

“Where are the others”, I asked.

The leader let out a horrible roar showing his sharp teeth, we screamed and jumped on him and tied him up. Two of us sat on him to stop him escaping while the others looked for the children, they were found safe but very scared locked in a cell. We all ran to the shuttle and set off back to earth.

I kind of enjoyed my trip to space. Don’t want to go back though.
