That Bad?
This is me…. My initial plan was to try and replicate a CD cover (Biffy Clyro, Folding Stars). Due to space constraints (the model in the original is much further away from the wall) I kinda gave up but played around with b&w and noise and got this.

a photograph should provoke feelings or emotions this is a true success!
PaulHealey, about 1 year ago
Wow….thanks for the quick comment, only just uploaded this!... I cant take credit for the idea, really, but i enjoyed trying to recreate it. The CD is very thought provoking and once you understand whats going on in the lyrics the cover certainly makes sense.
Many thanks for the comment Antoine I was wondering what sort of response it’d get.

Melissa Field, above, said, “I love being reminded that the most powerful photos are the simple ones”.
She’s so right.
This is nicely done, even with the constraints forced upon you.

Thanks again to all who’s taken the time to comment… Feel a little guilty tho’ that a “borrowed” idea turned into my only sale (thanks so much again whoever you are!!), most viewed, favorited and commented work.

I like this! Going against type of what we see every day, a man naked and alone rings true in the world we live in.

The grain and gentle sepia work well here – this is so emotional. The nude, the body language and even the empty electrical sockets are all very evocative!

excellent and very emotional piece

Amazing image Paul.

By far the best image in your gallery. The composition is just right(asymmetrical) and the soft lighting really makes the mood. I’m not sure if I would like it better in just black and white, but for now, this will definitely do. Props on the concept too!
Overall, a lovely image not wrecked by being over-complicated.

This is super. You mention that you borrowed the idea but i guess we could say that about anything we photograph..we borrow from mother nature constantly.. a great image capturing lots of emotion…well done.

Thanks Linda :) and thanks for your other comments too. Your time is much appreciated.

Ah sure the photographer naked again. I think I know the image you were thinking about and even with lack of floorspace not a bad crack at it.

Cheers Philip – what i’d give for a studio!!!
