Love this, so atmospheric – a bit scary though, not sure I could be tempted to take a drink here!!
Paul Woloschuk replied
I’m sorry it’s come across as being scary Tessa! It’s really a very cosy pub in a beautiful village.
Trainman
I would suggest that there have been some devious moves made in this pub over the years with a few jugs of ale on the table excellent take Paul
Paul Woloschuk replied
I’ve certainly supped more than a few ales in there Dave!
joak
love this what an atmosphere you have captured
Paul Woloschuk replied
Thank you.
As I was using a film camera, getting the exposure right was more luck than judgement as there are very few lights in this village, but I’m pleased to say the result was as I had intended!
Barbara Brown
Beautiful night shot! Great exposure.
Paul Woloschuk replied
Thanks lenzart. You also have some great night shots!

Instant fave, I just love it!
Paul Woloschuk replied
Thanks Jamie – they do a decent pint in there too!
kalaryder
Great shot, the lights really illuminate the pub
Paul Woloschuk replied
Thank you. There is very little light in this village – this is because it is owned by the National Trust, an there’s very strict regulation on modern additions to buildings, which is fine, but it makes looking at your camera settings a bit difficult!
Mark Lee
I’m stunned… Great shot :)
Paul Woloschuk replied
Thank you very much Mark

Excellent Paul, like this a lot !
Paul Woloschuk
Thanks very much ChelseaBlue.
I enjoy taking night shots, and this was particularly challenging because the National Trust severely restrict the street lighting in the village in order to retain it’s charm!
Antanas
lovely night capture, well done
Paul Woloschuk replied
Thanks Antanas.
Richard George
Looks inviting…love the mood. nice work.
Paul Woloschuk replied
Thanks Richard.
Matthew Walters
Super shot. You can easily imagine Harry Potter and his pals nipping in for a swift shandy now they’ve grown up.
Paul Woloschuk replied
Thanks Matthew. Take a look at my image ‘Cloisters’ for the genuine Potter location!
Matthew Walters
It’s a great location, isn’t it – I’ve only ever been in daylight though. When last there, they were setting up to film the latest HP, I have some shots with ‘unusual’ features at Panoramio.
