Lee Common Cottage
Having spent too many days exploring and photographing London, I decided to get out into the Countryside and do a few rural landscapes. I chose to shoot in Buckinghamshire.
The late afternoon spring sunshine washes across the slopes suurounding this tiny, ancient, still occupied cottage is in a hamlet called Lee Common. It has no road leading up to it, no driveway and nowhere to keep a car. I must surely be one of the last houses in the UK to sit as it does in the middle of beautiful parkland, surrounded by grazing sheep.

Slight adjustments in Lightroom and yes, the grass really IS that colour!

Oh, Paul … I hope you had as lovely a day as I’m imagining I’d have if I had been with you!!!!! This image with the rich greeeeeens and the loooooong shadows … and your magnificent cottage nestled in the little valley is something right out of Jane Austen’s days … I’m content just looking and dreaming!!!!!!!
