My grand dad was Asahel Shapland of Mcool Junction Nebraska. When I was young I learned to forge steel and arc weld in his blacksmith shop. I know there are some fine knives floating aroud Nebraska somewhere….Being handed down from father to son/ daughter. Knives are one of man’s oldest and favorite tools. Pristeen flint knives found in Clovis showed distict stryations caused from much cutting of grass for cordage, shelter. clothing and containers such as braided baskets. We today cut cordage, electric wires, seat belts, fishing line and so on. Anything we don’t want to knaw in two. Here is a photograph of one of my double bladed knifes done in 5160 carbon steel.Charecoal fired, hand forged malleare. The color negative helps show the patterning.

My interests include Odessa’s Orbs published by SmashWords, stone age axes, blacksmithing, knife and axe making, forrestry, carpentery and other building trades, I have worked in airial construction, printing, auto mechanics and as a baker. I have played a concert tour of Europe as a high school jazz musician. I became a orb photographer honestly as the orbs presented themselves.I fight for the truth and detest censorship and lies.
