Aw… and this makes me feel sad about the passing of time. I miss my teddy bear… who doesn’t. The statement makes me want to curl up somewhere and be taken care of…
One more thing- my teddy bear friend came from Madagascar island where I grew up . He went with me all around the world my whole life ; he stands in the best place in my home today ( in France ) and he doesn’t have a single scratch and he wearing the clothes my mother made for me when I was born…..I really meant Paul !X andre
Wow! That’s such a sweet tale. Wearing the clothes my mother made for me when I was born – that’s so incredibly beautiful. Treasure that teddy forever : ) x
You need to get yourself one. They are a friend for life : )

The one I had as a child was a Koala Bear from Australia … eventually fell apart. I think I was in High School at the time. I did see a very large, well worn bear at Macy’s. If it’s still there I’ll get it.
If you do please let me know what you name him/her : )

Definitely. As a theater director (don’t do much these days) a lot of things I have named over the years has been done during a production of Shakespeare I’ve directed (or acted in). The last being our black Lab named Titus … adopted and named while I was directing a production of “Titus Andronicus.” I think Prospero or Theseus might be a good name for this particular bear.
Paul, this actually made me drag a stool to my wardrobe and climb to a top shelf. She was under piles of old Boy George T-shirts, in the box at the very back, but looking at her accusing eyes and dusty paws on the coffee table in front of me now….I think you might just be right :-) Very, very nicely done.
