i just adore the little splashes of colour… cats eye has stained your consciousness x
I love you work Paul – we don’t get to see enough of it! This is quite striking and I love the title – especially for a madonna with no irises in her eyes!
She is stunning, & so very lovely. Love the form, the splashes of color. Superb. Love her eyes, too. Would be awesome to see this & your other version on the cover of Margaret Atwood’s book, “Cat’s Eye”
This is lovely Paul. The whiteness of the eyes along with the facial expression gives of the sense of loss. I did a google search for “The Virgin of Lost Things” and read that Risley’s Virgin of Lost Things is the home of everything that has been scattered and lost throughout the universe; here all the cololurs and splashes around the Virgin I assume represents the forgotten past that is scattered and lost.
I found the information on the first link that showed up when I googled the title. And guess what came up at #2 :)
Well you can do the search yourself and find out anyways~
margaret would be proud….. i so love your unique style my friend…. your soul seems to pour out of your hand……….b
love that she is blind…sensational Paul
no tea or red wine??
gorgeous and sensative work – as always paul. The expression is perfect.
A wonderful book and this is superb! I love the touches of colour and the almost melancholy feel to this.
