BTW…I have to get this off my chest…every time I view your profile pic you remind me of the famous actor who plays in the recent spiderman movies. Gosh I can’t think of his name right now…but I swear you can be twins.

I see a metaphor for the modelling world in this work.. all dressed up and showy but wretched inside.. starving away.. and gradually sinking as they try to keep up appearances ?

Her expression is wonderfully sad. Is she drowning in tears?
Paul Compton in reply to SherryBrown’s comment, 2 months ago
I don’t know. There’s an accompanying piece to this which is a short animation I made in 2006 called Boy Drowning – he drowns in his own tears. Thank you for commenting Sherry.

do you know the movie “Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events” well your style of drawing and the theme reminds me of this movie.

Paul Compton in reply to mimmam’s comment, about 1 month ago
Thank you mimmam. As indicated on my profile page I’m a huge fan of the Lemony Snicket books so I really appreciate the comment. I didn’t think the movie really captured how fun the books are but it definitely looked fantastic : )
