Eastern Tailed Blue Butterfly (w/o watermark) by

This butterfly finally settled down long enough for me to photograph it with its wings open – to show off the beautiful blue. I had to lie on my stomach for a long time to get this shot.

    Gorgeous work!

  • Thank you! These little guys can be so hard to capture open-winged! The underside of their wings is snow-shite, and if you did not spend time around them lon enough, you would never know! After lying down n the ground for a couple of hours, I finally managed to catch him wings unfolded! I feel like he gave me a gift for persistence! smile
