This little sparrow was tempted by some seed that I left for him.

After a bit of waiting, he finally landed and had a nice feed. It seems he’s been doing a lot of eating, as he’s a little bit chubby!

The Sparrow was introduced to Australia in the 1800’s and is now found in every state except for Western Australia.

I love being a tourist in my own country; the unique flora and fauna, the wonderful people, the striking vivid colours. Photography has opened up my country to me. I try to get out into it & photograph it as often as I can. Access to the great Australian outback is within easy reach of everyone! I hope you take the time to view some of my photos & I hope that they inspire you to go for a drive on the weekend and see what you can see.

Even for a chubby sparrow, I guess the long flight across the bight then desert is just too much! lol Love the lighting and dof :)

  • LOL!! Maybe that’s why we have the fat ones in Adelaide. They fly here from the east, intending to go west, then give up when they see how far it is! :) :)
