Love the lighting here Paul, well captured! Vicki :)

  • That was an unusual occurance, but again this mind is smiling because around this time of year the Sandia Mountain starts taking on that watermellon colored view, when the Sun sets in the West, and the light penatrates that dust layer while the air settles back to Earth! Thanks ! for the visit Vicki, sorry you weren’t able to attend this year ! ♥ paul

Love it! So is that dust that causes that color?

  • Yes ! Partly ! We’ve had storm clouds around us all week, but the major contributing factor was the storm cloud had broken over the top of the Sandia Mountain just as the Sun peaked over the mountain as well, thus the lightness at the top and still partial darkness at the bottom, about that time a few rain drops came down, and within a few minutes all was gone, I took about 8 or 9 pictures of clouds as well ! will let you know when I upload, OK ! ♥ Paul
