Tall Ship ! A fact shared , That this model of the USS Constitution, " Old Iron-sides " the time involved in assembly is in excess of 300 hours ! Having spent 5 months in St Paul Minnesota, the year 1971, prior to going to Vietnam, while attending a Civilian Computer System School, my spare time went into the assembly of this model, the version with sails from what I understand takes much less time, and the sail version I did see before purchasing, One piece at a time. The time of year in St Paul, January thou May ! the day I left it still snowed, this pride and Joy ! now 41 years old, along with the memory of drinking Green Beer on St Patrick’s day in the Irish district for the first time, both make me smile, Imagine this, that it takes less hours to assemble a home, that requires Patience as well, so to add that living life is a colorful story, rather than a destination, may have a different meaning, even the coiled ropes are tied in Naval tradition, along with the knots , short of painting eyes on the figures, it’s held up well , of course it is a chore to keep the dust from collecting ! Its a Revel kit so I recall, the price around 12 dollars or so. one of those priceless keepsakes, as well enjoyed hours ! Hopefully this picture contains that Thousand words ! Film days memories, Camera Yashica Electra X-TL, Just imagine at $ 5.00 an hour, now skilled labor $ 1500.00 would be a bargain price. But of course Hobbies not included ! Smiling moments revisited ! Made in USA.
