Perhaps there is room for one more ! Do You Think so ! The perfect day, after the mass ascension of the special shapes, the field is cleared and the compatition begins, for the regular shapes, with bean bag tossing, to the colorful streamers, each trying to get the most exact throw to collect points for the ultimate prize, along with the poles extended above the ground having envelopes with cash and other prizes to win ! now remember these balloons do not have flying controls, they can ascend, decend, and spin like a top, the credit of course is to navigate with as much skill, and of course Luck, but the obstacles is a crowded sky ! Albuquerque, New Mexico USA. the second week of October, each year, So far this was the best day ! Camera olympus E-500 with up to 150 mm lens, with polarization filter, and of course smile presented, Hope you enjoy the view, I say Awesome ! 2009 oh Yes Sylvia ! I was thinking of You ! :-)) paul

    All I can say is WOW! I have never had an opportunity to see a single hot air balloon. My camera would never stop clicking.

    Well ! it is different here in Albuquerque, in that spectators are permitted to roam around the balloon Fiesta park, I’ve included shots of that happening, it’s is also good because it shows the comparative size of the balloons with people near them ! what is truely amazing is the worldwide numbers of balloons, I’m told that in this day and age it cost in the vacinity of $ 30,000, for the envelope, then added to that trailers, and tow and chase vehicles in addition, makes it expensive !

    I do miss the balloons. Living in Rio Rancho, they would travel over the house in the mornings. i would have my first cup of coffee sitting on the front porch watching them.
