Mesa Verde Clift Palace

The search goes on to find any clues to bring out information about this structure as well the many Anasasi ruins, on our visit we discovered the thrill of having a storm come thru during our visit, within minutes the entire area was cast with this facinating Glow of gold adding to the mystique! shortly after this appearence I did remember that in my stash of filters was the tool to help emphasize the golden view. I’ve witnessed from the film days few used filtration within the general photography camera tool complement. now that I’m into recovery of some of my best works in the film period of learning, no doubt to express a finer moment captured, this place at Mesa Verde is one of the favorite views, but the angle is special, because I turned around as we were leaving this particular community, from observation that was a stroke of luck because of the moments offering, hoping you enjoy one of my film days learning experiences, located South of Cortez Colorado 1994 Yashica Electro-X TL

BEAUTIFUL! This capture speaks volumes! It’s as if the Elders are still there telling the legends, speaking in quiet tones, flute music in the background and we are able to see the pictures in the stories they tell….

At times I feel out of place visiting such historical places, having been married to a Native American decendant for near 43 years has been most educational for this native Maine country boy, In my time little effort was made to expose us to the Rich Culture of life and folklore of the history and evolution of the Native Spirit, although in retrospect that becomes the definative attraction to the unknown and unpublicised, until recent efforts, my greatest discomfort comes from the nation in general, to proceed through life as if the scorning of the unknown, of it’s original peoples, would call itself civilized, I lived amoung the Abenaki Nations peoples, and saw the red face as well the treatment at an early age, as well also my ancestry (French ) mingled and fought for soverenty with them, in dispute of alegance to be British, those that claimed their independence of France and English were deported, dispersed, and disparaged, much as in the manner of our Native Peoples, that also not brought to the learning of the average, so is said, little is gained in war, much less pride and destinction of our presence as a visitor to the planet ! one fact discovered although we are not related, with exception to name sake, there is record of a native American of the Osage clan by the name of paul Albert going back to the late 1800 ! life’s mysteries ! Thanks Red Dove for the favoriting, my vision of Cliff Palace ! Appreciated. paul
