The push and pull of life, between the faceless corporation man
who either digs himself into his job / business,
or does he even dig shallow graves for a living…
the nude figure…. free thought and artistic expression
does society want to bury his open expression…
are these people one in the same… fighting for the same existence…
fighting for the same space in this world…
faceless corporation man is void of expression… naked and bare man at least expresses who he is….
and doesn’t hide behind the mandatory suit and a blank mask…

so a spade for a spade is all you get when you trade the same stuff day after day…

A poignant question…and who is to say whose expression is more significant. I suspect it honestly comes down to the right to self express. The polarity between the seemingly plastic lifeless corporate and the spirited naked creative at times hurts my heart. It is the assumptions we presuppose, the fingers we point suggesting one is living and one is existing and to be sure each polarity can just be just existing…but each also can be living their self expression.

Such a striking image, the stylising is detailed perfectly, the colours, tones are stunning…

    Thought provoking work Paul

A very powerful image, love the symbolics and message with it and the decor and coloring give it a more deep and also painful feeling. I love your lighting, it makes the graphical composition perfect, ’ the right light on the right place ’, well done again Paul,
    hugs, anna

    Deeply moving…penetrating.
There is a new depth to this work, a different exploration an opening here like a juncture.
I feel this – great work Paul.
