Very strong image… the trolleys and the red car poking it nose out contrast nicely with the hard texture hand shadows.

You’ve certainly opened my eyes, Paul. I know I saw shots like this, but I rarely found a way to compose an interesting shot. I know now that I have to look harder and smarter. Thanks!

Thought I would came back a way in your portfolio and see what gems I could find back here Paul ;) I really admire your style mate, one thing about most of your photography is that is has your own sig. on it. When I see something in the gallery of yours, I always know it’s yours before I open it. That’s something really good to have eh :) Keep up the awesome work mate :)

Paul: Without the intense black it would be nothing. Well actually it would be something, but the black for me represents the void that some experience when they find that modern consumer culture doesn’t deliver as promised. A couple of newish cars, the empty trolleys, the space and the sweeping curve all play their part – but the dense blackness is the killer punch. Ah, forget the philosophy – it just looks damn good.

  • wow – thanks so much bruce – so appreciate your insight here…
