As mentioned in Green Triangle I was perched on the top deck of a Cruise liner as we departed Venice. Probably the single best experience as you get to appreciate the true aesthetics of the city from a seriously amazing vantage point. I must have shot off about 50 photos – it was amazing, moving from industry to picturesque abodes and landscapes. Almost movie set like – it was a true highlight!

(I will have to post a detali shot too – however it’s taking me 25 mins per upload at the moment too long!!!!)

i have shots from down there near the carpark looking up at a cruise liner departing venice….
it looked surreal with the massive ship swinging slowly past the old crumbling buildings!

Stunning shot. I like the detail, including the sharpness, and the colours.

    This is a tilt-shift right?

It does indeed have the tilt/shift look. Attainable by both lens and photoshop, it makes the shot look like you’ve photographed a model. There’s a photoshop technique that involves gradient quick mask and lens blur to attain a similar look to the result you can get with an expensive tilt/shift lens. There’s a couple of bubblers doing it too.

Your beautiful shot has so much detail and colour, must have been an awesome sight.
