Featuring my daughter Siena, Bored Intersection is one of those moments you get when travelling overseas with small children. Resting on a balustrade with head in arm, she gathers some momentum before propelling her small frame onward. What you find fascinating doesn’t actually connect with a six year old – “What you mean all those beautiful perfectly placed graphic signs aren’t doing it for you…. I ask politely?”

so much story to tell.
Paul your my favourite photographer on here. Was talking to a friend today about your work, was checking out an oil refinery and wondering how I can take pics without looking like a terrorist. How the hell did you come across Sector 7G.
Very effective,love it
I’m loving your little additions Paul.
Your daughters presence gives this pic such life.
I love your work Paul! The treatment and the composition of this piece is great and I’m sure most people can relate to being bored travelling with their parents and not appreciating what they’ve seen until they’re much older.
Well done Paul!! Even without your words on this, the photo says so much! You are truly fascinating!! :D:D Love your stuff :)
I’m with you Paul, can’t see why she just isnt fascinated by this all. I hope she didnt mind sticking around for the hour or two it took to shoot! Great work
There is so much to love about this. The title is great because although the intersection may seem boring, there is so much to see. I love the way the arrows point in the opposite direction to the subjects gaze… out of the frame, the airconditioners, the beautiful reflection in te water on the handrail, even the concrete barriers look beautiful. Just love it Paul!
By the way… my children get bored when I’m out and about photographing too!
this shot has taken your photography to the next level in my opinion…….
exceptional…… i stayed on kowloon for a few weeks a number of years ago, unfortunately for me it was before i ever had a camera…… this brings back some memories…..
