Bruno's Office
This is Bruno – he works at the real Sector 7G – he has so many more dials to look at today, he’d rather be out watching the new Simpsons Movie!
Available for sale asGreeting Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints and Framed Prints

this is really great. plus, bruno is lucky to have such an interesting place to be.
Mike Emmett
Eeeexcellent!
davecurtain
such a crisp image, wonderful lighting
Andrew Wilson
Do you think Bruno knows what to do if the light in the far left corner starts to flash?
Are we puting to much responsibility on machines.
What if that light means meltdown?
Paul Louis Vil...
Magnificent! That’s all that needs to be said!
Simon Mammino
Sector 7G revisited, The random patterns, colors and shapes of the control gear is fantastic as is the tiled floor leading up to Bruno. The lighting is fantastic as is Bruno’s relaxed pose. Would love to see a longer exposer when something is going wrong. Great work yet again Paul
Mel Brackstone
I’m not sure I want to see a photo of something going wrong!! eeek! This would be a classic with your “Always the last to leave” graphic work….or that could just be me thinking out loud.
ShanyBW
So Cool!
jenfinger77
This really is nice—reminds me of the Jetsons.
Flamejob
I really like this Paul. There is so much to look at, to keep the eyes busy. You have a real signature tone about your photos – I can’t quite put my finger on it but its a certain light . This has it. An almost 50’s era patina of lime greens and old analogues – I would expect Bruno to be wearing horn rimmed glasses and to have a pens clipped into his breast pocket.
Melinda Kerr
I agree with Flamejob Paul. Your work definately has a 50’s era patina. I think it’s that there’s always (to me anyway) a limited colour range. With perhaps one ‘hero’ colour. Often red I’ve noticed. Another great composition here.
Jenny Hall
Yes, very retro. And the lines are so clean. Very nicely framed.
Bubblegirl
Does Bruno bring his luch to work in a tupperware container? Great shot Paul Vanzella.
webgrrl
ihope bruno gets to listen to some nice music in there….
Mark Ingram
The place is so neat tidy, but the walls are a mess
zee1
Love the 50’s green and the whole picture has acertain quality that is hard to define and like a lot of your other work it simply rocks.
James Broadway
Hi Paul, two things I really like about this: compositionally the way the shadow on the wooden desk finishes off a journey around the room that begins with green cupboards down the left, and as a story the way Bruno is such an organic fixture in an almost “Brazil” style film set scenario – somewhere organic beings don’t really have a place anymore… definitely an entertaining shot
Mark German
Paul, you have such a fine eye. Your work really inspires me. I thank you for that.
David Haviland
WOW, WOW, WOW you turn the mundane into the fantastic. Love everything about this.
Lisa Jewell
What to say…..I’d like to work with Bruno :)))
Lindsay Blamey
Bruno’s Back!! – Great work, Prefer this one to the earlier ‘Inside Sector 7G’. So much going on in UNIT 2. FYI: Yesterday I laid eyes on a Gregory Crewdson on show at NGV as part of the Guggenheim exhibition.. It is one of the most compelling things I’ve ever seen (I had a tear in my eye.. Seriously). You should check it out!
Jessica Tremp
absolutely brilliant Paul, i love how you capture the ‘mundane’ and turn it into absolute brilliance…well done
mayuphoto
Great work Paul!
nitrams
Fabulous, painterly feel to this, Paul. Has a sort of understated Hopper feel to it.
It’s just so interesting and exiting to the eye and stimulating to the mind.
IOW I love it!
victor
good one, as much depth as an Ansell Adams landscape in this.
Karen Cougan
Brain Meltdown for me if I was to learn what all those dials meant. Worse than the camera settings. LOL Another beauty Paul, love your style.

Sarah Moore
This is fantastic – Homer eat your heart out!!!
alistair mcbride
Well done
Michael Douglass
I recognise that ass.
Brett Squires
Paul, your work continues to inspire.. Excellent, once again.
orourke
brilliant paul, really diferent and inspiring, looks like somewhere HOMER simpson would eat donuts
funkyfacestudio
All those dials and hands in pocket, I love what you captured.
Paul Vanzella
Thanks for the great comments, yes, this is the full view of Inside Sector 7G and as Lindsay pointed out there is a lot more going on in the full image. More dials, more lights, however, Bruno has it all under control….
markhiggins
Bruno’s the man! Love the shot.
(I hope he doesn’t press the big
red button that must be there
somewhere!)
Halcyon007
Looks like it’s straight from the 50’s. Great feel to it Paul. Brilliant work
Michael Douglass
Industrial complexes are fascinating places and I’ve been trying to get in to explore a few but it’s difficult, especially with a camera, swap you a toe for access to 7G?
wellman
The stance on “Bruno” is a classic – appears to be performing the “I’m nervous bum squeeze”. A joy to view your work as always

Sensational stuff. Great Image once again!
Hey Paul i’ve sold some work! Pretty thrilled with this. Your images were a great inspiration to go and get a new camera and start developing my own style
Cheers M:>
Andrew Bosman
Quite incredible Paul, love your work.
Mardynn
Very nice image.
Shows a lot about the place.
Melody
I can not speak for drooling….:)
GregB
Bruno is a champion – I bet he is a wiz at programming his VCR/PVR too.
Great photo, very fifties style as mentioned above, just a joy to look at.
Robert Knapman
This is a terrific shot Paul. Love it love Bruno
theurbannexus
Cant’ work out if this is a painting or a photo… but I do like it. It has the interesting industrial feel of a 1980s/70s factory (replete with lime green!) and there are lots of interesting little elements to it.
Michael Alesich
Great image, It’s almost surreal how many dials there are and all for this one guy to look over. Great shot Paul.
nick board
I knew straight away this was yours, such a style,
I can envisage Vanzella giglees flying out the door in art galleries.
Lancelot
Paul .. I have a feeling you have spent way to much time in sector 7 … that growth, the strange odour and ur newly acquired limp are just the start…...................Bruno’s just checking out whats on the TV.. all those buttons are just an elloborate control syetm for a TV.. Dam Europeans so far behind with the times…................
Paul Vanzella
Lance you may be right – he might just be watching The Price is Right or something…. :)
transmute
Give the man some donuts!
meanderthal
sorry for the slow response paul….. i’m on tour at the moment and at some hotels the price is just too steep for a broadband connection…. glad to get a chance to see more of this image… now we see that the first image was just a taste of what bruno had in store for us. the wood panel of the foreground desk, the diagonal light, brunos poise under pressure and that gorgeous institution green…... mmmmm, sensational….
Claudio Cologni
Wow.
Fantastic place and composition.
Deborah Parkin
the composition makes it feel so boxed – so dangerous and claustraphobic – it’s great – you get a feel for the place and I think I would rather be watching the Simpsons too – too much responsibility.
lawrencew
What an essay in alienation.. terrific..
Belinda Leopold
I’ve looked at this picture many many times now, and always find myself going off to reflect…finally I’ve decided that I do like it, and that it shouldn’t scare me (ie-chernobyl feel…) Yes I am strange sometimes…...but pictures can evoke such feelings!!! :)
ARPhotography
brilliant!
Christina Martin
Love this!
Lance Leopold
Very well done,Paul,it seems it poses more questions, than answers, good images are prone to do that, cheers.
John Lynn
It’s just great. All the comments you’ve had prove it. I bet Bruno has a hard time finding someone to stand in for him if he needs to nip out for a while. Lovely work. John. PS thanks for your visit to ‘Dream Time’, I had fun doing it. John
oisin
Gorgeous colour – and sense of one person’s working life.
ZacharyReed
wow. i want an office like that.
Catalin Soare
Excellent composition and PP!
Christiaan
Very nice details and lighting here Paul!
Antoine Dagobert
Simply breathtaking….your skills and taste are well exhibited. I love this picture;best regards
Benjamin Scheurer
that’s an incredible shot….I don’t know what you’re doing as a PP treatment but
it’s magic. Fantastic colours!
JPzatsaVirtanen
You both do great work!
hillsrain
Brilliant work – again!!
Ada Panich
A very ‘graphic’ office!
studiofascino
this is great,love the tones!
Rachel Taylor
One of the great ‘inquisitives’ of life is the the diversity of work spaces. This is an one of those daunting ones. Beautifully captured.
Darren Burdell
Inspirational !! This ones a masterpiece….D.
David Goymer
I love the lighting in this, gives it depth. fantastic image!
Alexander Gitlits
Beautiful image. I also love the way Bruno is not facing the camera, but is rather an integral part of this busy office.
Gerijuliaj
You have a great eye! making what could be quite ordinary into the extraordinary.
Birgitta
Haaaa…the description is hilarious.
The capture is terrific! It most definitely paints the story of the
daily grind. WOW..you have a great sense of interpreting and conveying.
I’ll call it: storytelling. :)
Bruce Watson
Great composition. (Bruno has placed himself thoughtfully!). I particularly like the diagonal foreground shadow – and the way the earthiness of the wood and fibre counterpoints the intimidating technology of the control panels.
Becc Orszag
Incredible work, where do you find a place like this!
jlynn
The colors, light and simplicity of this is fantastic, I like the one man alone, speaks loudly
Klaudy Krbata
great details and lighting, i love your fine colours
H M Bascom
I worry about this poor chap being in charge of all these gadgets. :-)
Excellent photo.
ltruskett
You are The Man when it comes to colour and light…..........the retro green and severe light just do it for me. I love the smallness of the figure and the shading on his shirt and trousers….......just superb.
caseycastille
Paul – so great to “see” you again! Thank you so much for all the wonderful comments. I LOVE your new work, this included. It’s got such a wonderful, desolate feel to it – the romance of weariness. I hope you take that as a compliment, because I mean it as one. I’ve long been fascinated by the romance of weariness and desolation. It is the feeling of the red lights on radio towers blinking against the inkiness of an Arizona sky.
Short story: you’re brilliant and I love your work!
I haven’t forgotten about those photos I want. I just had to use all my money for medical expenses. One of these days, I’ll have cash again and they’re still on my list! : )

This is awesome! does this place actually exist?? stunning image
Paul Vanzella
replied
sure does, reminds me of the Simpsons! Thank you looking!
Cathleen Taraw...
Every time I see one of your works, I immediately start twiddling knobs in my head, trying to work out your formula. I think I’ve twiddled too much and broken them.
Paul Vanzella
replied
thanks Cathleen… love your words so much!
Mark Bateman
Fantastic image. I’d love to refer to it in one of my stories yet to be released on RB.
Paul Vanzella
replied
...for sure Mark – love you too…! : ))
lareejc
good grief – what kind of work does Bruno doo?? I rather suppose he wouldn’t be in this room at all if he really didn’t know how, what, when, where, who, why, right?? this is just so fascinating to look at; so many different dials, knobs, screens, lights, patterns, colors and papers to look at!!! WHERE IS THIS PLACE?
Paul Vanzella
replied
...this man runs our electricity in the state of Victoria where I live… yes, the dials look prett antiquated.. I hope they stay working to breath life into my Mac.. again – thank you for your many comments…
lareejc
I’m going to favorite this one so I can look at it closer and see if I can decipher ANYTHING I unerstand bout this intersting photo!!! I love your … your very different aspect on things – is that the right word?
MillicentMorrow
Looks like a movie set…awesome.
Mark Bateman

Tom Smith
This is my absolute favorite image of yours and now thinking about it maybe the whole of the bubble i love the tones and really the whole feel of the image
Paul Vanzella
replied
wow THANK YOU SO MUCH Tom – what high praise… really appreciate you liking this image – one of my faves, as it is the real world we don’t see everyday… love all those dials… a real Homer Simpson at work.. (but this guy is good!) : D
Tom Smith
