Super cool I got to get me one of those planar sectional cut lenses. It could have been interesting to have included a skeleton in the ground to give it a sinister twist. Great concept.

brilliant. thought-provoking. reminds me of the sensation when you suddenly get a sense of being on a rock in space and expect at any moment to fall into the sky. i love that vertigo feeling.

i love the inversion mirror. what a great idea. i don’t think we are even looking at it halfway my friend, but the duality has its own beauty none the less.

Wow. What a great theme. This is so facinating. And such a strong depiction of the theme. The upper world bathed in light and the dark underworld. Oh, well, I think we see the top of the iceberg. Live excists mostly in our mind. And if ten people watch this image, ten people see different things. We see ouselves reflected in the world. But great parts of ourself live on subconscious levels. We can’t even see all of ourselves, so how could we see all of the world.

Great photo Paul and interesting concept. As most of our unconscious mind is unused – makes you wonder what we would see if we could work out a way to ‘tap’ into the 90% we don’t use. You obviously are already! I think photography and art in general helps you to see the world in a way that helps expand our consciousness.

Wow! my hand is getting tired from scrolling to the bottom of your list of comments. Very interesting photo. I’ve always had a theory that the part of the tree that is underground is very similar to the part that is above ground.

This is very powerful, looks like a small one manned island that has broken away from the rest of civilization and is taking a journey towards the middle of a storm.
