Peco Grozdanovski
Wonderful photograph Mr. Paul… Great work with light and capture of emotions… My compliments!
Darren Burdell
That subdued lighting is doing it for me!
Juilee Pryor
all the light in the image seems to come from the body of the woman via that amazing dress which makes her seem somehow not quite the dirty girl she probably is. very interesting concept. when you get through with the seven deadly sins how about giving the seven contrary virtues a whirl….. now that really would be a challenge.
Basia McAuley
The direction and lighting is perfect, gives a real air of mystery to it. Excellent tone and processing too, well done.
Heather Hartkamp
Oozes wantonness and sensuality – fab image!
Bones
Beautiful work, I love the frame in the background, another incredible work, heaps of thumbs up and a round of applause
skunk
Cool. The nude in the frame on the left adds a subtle touch and i don’t know if anyone else sees it but in the bottom of the frame on the right i see what looks to be half a mans face with suit jacket on? My eyes are playing today. Great work Paul!
gordontant
Paul, I think this is one of your best I have seen on here so far, the lighting makes such a moody and sultry atmosphere, has she come in to the room and seen you in the painting, or is it a mirror and she is actually looking at you, which ever it is it looks like it caught her by surprise and as the title suggests she wants some
Scott Ruhs
Great image love how it is in the shadows really sets the mood.
nancz
I love the mystery of this. Fantastic. I would love to you see do a Seven Deadly Sins set…it would be so interesting to see your spin on it!!!!

Dr Vanzella had a manic look in his eye! finally the time machine was ready. setting the timeatron for 1769 (snort pffffft 69!) he set his dastardly plan into effect. do away with the great artists and replace them with his!
The time machine worked! he stole across the study of Wilthrop hall and swapped the recently purchased Constable picture for one of his own! in a flash he was gone back into the time vortex.
Meanwhile the mistress of Wilthrop hall entered the study having heard a strange thrumming noise. Her eye caught the picture hanging where the Constable had been, urges coursed through her fragile female frame! was it… yes it was a young mans bum!!!!
John Conway
love the dark and moody feel of this, just enough light to pick up the important details in the composition and leave the mind to fill in the gaps, top work Paul
Christine Wilson

16th or 21st Century – doesn’t matter, its the same ol’ lust. That fire and brimstone is getting a little uncomfortable. Nicely orchestrated chiaroscuro Paul.

A mate of mine reckons the punishment for lust is marriage. But he is having some difficulties so his views may be a bit coloured.
Great shot Paul, everything works.

In the 16th Century just about everything would land you in Hell. Of course, for a price (Indulgences) the local priest could pray you out of hell and into purgatory. Ha Ha. Great lighting. Lusty indeed.
kipishiux
Very nice!
mklau
You’ve captured this concept beautifully. Dramatic and laden with sensuality. All talentedly asisted by your superb use of lighting.

Oh this is wickedly delicious, such glorious light on those pearls and dress, they glow! Is there a fire extinguisher handy?
Martin Derksema
A picture that prooves the heroism of human beings. Churches made us afraid for one of our largest blessings: our sexual energy. And the churches made a lot of money out of that. (Probably the greatest marketing scam in human history.) But us, human beings, kept faithfull to what we believed was one of our natural blessings: the capability to give enormous pleasure to eachother. We didn’t let us scare off by perverted and sadistic guys in dresses that use their thingy only to piss. Not even in the dark and dangerous middle ages. Love the joy and pleasure I can see in this picture. The lust and disire looks like a beacon of light in the darkness of fear. Fabulous epic work.
Rhana Griffin
The look on her face is like… “Yeah go on… if you think you’re good enough!” Superb lighting here Paul… transports one back in time to when fire and brimstone was almost preferable to a life of mediocrity.
MuscularTeeth
as always with your work paul, its excellent.

Wow her expression is superb, soft tones, lighting and composition are just perfect! Wonderful shot!
Gratziela Gal
I love the setting, it’s something that I have always wanted to do myself (a Victorian type of photo shoot). What drew my attention was the nude painting on the wall…it’s quite blurry in the sense that it is hard to say if it’s a mirror or a framed painting…According to Freud, the mirror displays our true self…It could be our lust…interesting…
Helene Kippert
Wonderful composition and light!
t1nyskert
simply stunning…it never ceases to amaze me how you get the lighting just perfect for any subject you choose
love it
kcranmer
Excellent imagery Paul and fantastic story line!
Shanina Conway
Beautiful image Paul…love the subtle details and soft lighting…superb work, like a scene from a movie.
Fire and brimstone…mmmm well, I’d better not die;)
Suzanne German
Gratziela – (re Freud comment) – The Undiscovered Self such interesting concept of how each contains its oppposite and mirrors it back…like the two halves of the whole….yin and yang…..the female ~ outward projection; the male faced the oppostite direction the male energy ~ inward (in this case)....i like the theory of duality co-existing in balance and tandam.
Paul Vanzella

Stunning…as always! You have such an artistic imagination!:)

For some reason the description made me laugh. The matter of fact tone just kind of made me chuckle, but as for the shot: you really do an awesome job of these themed shots in all aspects. Really nice work, keeps me coming back to see more.
Aaron .
Really great imagery Paul (I see you got your bum in there again – you’ve been hanging around Jo too much :P) – the shadows are just right.

funkyporchini

Great work Paul! But who is lusting and who is the object? Is it the woman looking at someone we cant see and lusting after them, or is it the viewer who is lusting after the woman? Rhetorical question … wonderful image!
micmac

HydeSide
Lovely almost Rembrandt kind of lighting. Beautiful.
Amanda Hammock
It is a pity that the good girls go to heaven and the naughty ones get the fire and brimstone!
Masterful work with this. Evokes not only lust but to me it actually reminds me of the cover of something like an Agatha Christy book.
Bravo.
TomDawson

Carmelh
Love the old world feel….
Caroline Gorka
Love the seductiveness
Persimmon
intriguing. I don’t think my computer screen does it justice. It’s almost like she hasn’t noticed that naked bottom behind her, but how could she not? Obviously the object or her desires is in front of her, and a much better prospect!
Phil Thomson IPA
Congratulations on being “Featured”, Paul !!! Very dark and seductive, both in the lighting and the pose. Just the right amount of lighting on that wicked eye, the face, the breasts and to highlight the soft lines of her outfit. A rather dark and secretive setting surrounds her. Excellent, all round !!!!
Paul Vanzella
replied
thanks Phil was so going for that old school masters light… so appreciate your comment! : )
RavenSoul

Up there with the best of yours, love the lighting
Sabine Spiesser
So glad the concept of heaven or hell has no real meaning but in mythtisism, so may she enjoy what others consider a sin. I love the lighting and choice of costume.
Paul Vanzella
replied
thank you sabine, love your comment here

syd baker
Absolutely love this, the setting is superb, the woman’s expression relays the title so well, but the lighting is my favorite part, dark because lust is a sin I suppose, but hey, I’m hoping that punishment stuff is negotiable if it’s jolly lust, or something equally upbeat…
Abhishek Scariya
Fantastic lighting and tones.
jwinman
very well executed!
adgray
Gorgeous but I feel you were dating this wrong. 16th Century is the 1st Queen Elizabethan times. This is more mid to late 19th century -1880+ – Queen Victorian times! Perhaps you could get away with early 1830s but not really any earlier than that in fact it may even be closer to early 20th Century Edwardian style.
And I wonder if you deliberately put the pair of faces in the shine on the frame behind her left shoulder – a man in Edwardian suit and a woman behind him. This indeed gives it that spooky Victorian element – “What is hiding in the shadows and shine of the flickering candlelight?”
Chookas! X♥X
