Paesaggio Industriale

Paul Vanzella

Paesaggio Industriale

translation: Industrial Landcsape
To me this is just what I like about the Italian landscape, found this area tucked away off a local highway… I basically followed the spaceship like monolith, and it was all there in front of me… red shipping container and all… I’m just really fascinated by this… some may find boring I find it intriguing.

Paul this is so far from boring you may as well be talking the distance from Earth to Pluto! Love the geometric shapes set against rugged mountain beauty. The earth tones in the foreground really highlight the red in the shipping container and that golden light is to die for!

  • Paul Tupman

    Paul Tupman

Terrific find Paul.. what an awesome landscape with such unusual structures. The colouring and your technique in processing reminds me of old 60s style illustrations of how things might be in the future when we have settle on Mars.. and of course that would have been the year 2000! Love the angle on this too.. looks like you have stumbled on something hidden away..

That’s a breathtaking shot Paul, congratulations. The scope of the landscape is impressive, it has the impression of a vast scope. And that Italian light is amazing. It paints everything with an intriguing local colour that reminds me of a tone poem. Anyway, enough bullshit from me, I love it.

oh this is beautiful. classic vanzella imagery. wonderful and there is something about your sense of colour and placement. Subtle and elegant and its so glad to see you back on form kicking it again. I just love this. Its a bit like BySilent’s work. If you haven’t seen any of his utterly incredible works then look him up. He moderates the DaDaland group. Very similar sensibitily.

what I like about it (sorry for not reading all the comments but you get too many) is how it relates to Italian modernism. So proud, industrious and yet still relating to the handmade… the reason why italy is far behind in ‘technology’ but far ahead in hand mand engineering.

Another ripper! the squareness of the structures in the front against the hazy jagged mountain line works so well. I wonder when the Italians will announce the location of the extra-terrestrial life forms they have discovered! Also the reoccurring red & white stripe pole is a nice touch.
