The Baggage Handlers
I found it quite amusing that in Italy, as a male, you can unashamedly turn your head toward an attractive woman – without question, in fact I think you are encouraged – this is a simple social comment on the comings and goings of everyday life.

Great shot.. I love the composition and the way your eye is drawn to the women and then around the image and finally rests on the fantastic repetition in the baggage trailer. I like!

Nice shot Paul, and a good little story to go with your pic to add more meaning :)

I’m not sure how, but it’s heightened reality, alot of your work looks like the world starts to look just as the beer start to take effect on a hot day,............ cheers Paul.

Its so true what you say Paul…you can just about read these guys minds…shape, colour, compostion…narrative …...it all fits so well together here…and those shadows give it that extra something too!

Great composition Paul and good to have the acompanying narrative. I love the way the woman’s stride is captured beautifully.

I like your observation, and even better how it is so well enacted in the picture with prototypical representations of sophisticated, pretty girl in Italy, and blue (well, yellow) collar worker taking a restful break, watching pretty things pass by.

i know what you mean – when i lived in spain i initially found it pretty weird the way people make and lock eye contact. eventually i got used to it but now i am sure some people in australia think i stare!

Paul the way you manage to position varying elements in your frame never ceases to amaze me. You manage to combine minimalism with graphic content in a way I haven’t seen in any other photography. It really is a gift.

Thanks for your comments Paul. Writing about your photos isn’t hard. Your images start the sentence, all I have to do is finish it.

Totally in awe of your art Paul. I’ve just spent the last hour going through your portfolio and became lost in your images. They are some of the most inspiring, beautiful works I have seen. Just blew me away. Thankyou so much for sharing your art.

Marvellous composition, Paul and ta for the kind words on “Sun” and “Dan.C” shots…and that rotation idea is most interesting..

This is wonderful you are extremely creative and have an incredible eye for things.
The classic would be a shot from the other angle to see the look on his face. LOL.
Great shot Paul

Ahh….I’ve just realised this is Miss Italy. Love the way the elements here are all so beautifully interlinked, and your use of dodge and burn just perfect. Your narrative brings it all together into an honest and enlightening view. I say it again….so inspiring!

burden in baggage.

Italy is true to humanity. In the USA the man would have been fired and then prosecuted for sexual harassment ( the great sin of making someone feel UNComfortable).
