  • Phil Thomson IPA

    Phil Thomson IPA

Fantastic emotional, storytelling images with great ‘dreamy’ lighting, lots of space( with certain boundaries) to wander, ponder and think of what might be!!! BTW, Paul you really should get her a real dog, preferably small, as they are a wonderful companion and refuge, when needed !!!

  • Paul Vanzellafounder replied

thanks so much Phil, great words!

  • Princessbren2006

    Princessbren2006

I’ve already decided I might try steering my boy in the reptile direction (less yard space, maintenance, training, walking and vet bills) LOL

  • Paul Vanzellafounder replied

Mmmm good idea… try living in an inner city warehouse… thanks Pip!

  • adgray

    adgray

This is an adorable pairing she is a very gorgeous little girl!
I have one that gets in her own world often – a sign of high intelligence that apparently!
and yes get her a dog! I went my whole childhood only wanting a puppy for Christmas & only getting Barbie Dolls (I have issues with that blond plastic thing!) I finally got one (when I was 35!)
a dog can be a great companion or a massive hindrance if you get the wrong one – make sure the dog comes to you – without calling, the one that does that is the dog for you.
But a Collingwood warehouse would indeed make it a bit hard to have a good dog (Say a Kelpie) without many hours spent having fun walking the streets or up a park or down the beach or out bush, fetching balls catching frizbees …..
and to think I have 6 adorable ones you could have your pick of – an absolute darling black girl or three chocolate and caramel ones or a grey one with blue eyes or my fave the gorgeous grey tri-colour Queenie …. no I might keep her lol They’re 4weeks old now so they’ll be ready for new homes after cup weekend I’ll try to get a few shots up But this is dad

If it’s any consolation I reckon my whole property would fit inside a Collingwood warehouse! Chookas! ♥

  • Paul Vanzellafounder replied

thanks for the tips! : ))

time for a real one Paul… look at all the space to play… and you need to do this while she has time to play …

    – and once again.. the master of the reduced pallette and subtle lighting

  • Jeff Burns

    Jeff Burns

Very Very clever. This is so fantastic and moody of course love the processing as always. It is a power image that can tell a story all by itself with no words.

  • Nacho Garcés

    Nacho Garcés

Very, very nice. She seems to be outside the background, the effect is amazing. The light perfect. Another masterpiece Paul.

Beautiful daydreamer she is Paul ! I remember when I was little I wanted a dog too and they gave me a cuddly one like this, I cried and said I wanted one with real eyes… You should give her a real one some day when she’s a bit older and can take care of it herself… x anna

  • Paul Vanzellafounder replied

  • Dave Hiskey

    Dave Hiskey

great treatment as usual….difficult thing to get across the wonder and innocence of childhood but you’ve managed to convey something of that wonderfully well..like it

  • Paul Vanzellafounder replied

great words, thanks Dave.. I am fascinated by her!

  • Gerijuliaj

    Gerijuliaj

Lovely work Paul. The light works a treat – throwing the background into semi-shadow and leaving Sienna in the light without losing any detail is brilliant. It is beautifully poignant. I have a loveable Highland Terrier X – they make loyal playful pets and are perfect around children. He has never chewed up anything either, which is a big +.

  • Paul Vanzellafounder replied

ohhhhh, thanks so much! : ))

  • Jess Andrews

So beautiful, timeless & almost wistful… what an elusive view you have captured Paul! & the light is amazing. Siena is beyond sweet here and a new toy stuffed dog can be so special to a girl :) I feel so fortunate to have been able to meet your lovely daughter when you were in the States earlier this year, and it’s wonderful to see her again. I’m sure you’ve put a big smile on her face to see this!!

  • Paul Vanzellafounder replied

thank you so much, yes, you buckled her safely in your car I can remember… yes, she loves this however, is hoping for that real puppy very soon! Thank you so much!

  • Clare McClelland

    Clare McClelland

Gee Siena is growing fast. Poor girl has to have a toy instead of a real one. You meanie lol.
Every girl needs a best friend Paul, and I ‘ll keep begging for her as you know I will lol.

  • peter kelly

    peter kelly

a slightly Dickensian workhouse look, daydream, quiet contemplation….. works on so many levels!! you could however buy her a real puppy, the RSPCA has several to choose from, oh and some toys for them both to play with!

  • Paul Vanzellafounder replied

thanks for the advice peter, and yes she certainly does have that quiet contemplation look!

  • Shanina Conway

    Shanina Conway

    Cathleen Taraw...

You are such an inspiration to me. whatever the subject matter, you always manage to instil emotion in what you are doing, which is how I like it. I love seeing kids off in their dreamworld; it reminds me they are their own wee person with a world of possibility in any direction.

  • Paul Vanzellafounder replied

I love it too, kathleen, helps keep you real, huh… and envious… I stare at my daughter no matter what she is doing… thank you for your kind words!
