fantastic image Paul, will have to try this filter out sometime

  • Paul Vanzellafounder replied

...and I just saw a classic Jeffrey Smart (sold at auction for big $$$) on the TV tonight. This is just about the closest anyone will get to the JS vibe without using paint methinks.

  • Paul Vanzellafounder replied

(gulp) love it that you dropped the JS word Bruce… highest praise for me… you’ve made my night!!!! thank YOU!

  • Mark Hayward

    Mark Hayward

I concur with Bruce..(you’ve dragged me out of the woodwork again Mr.V!)...But…I no longer see what you do through the JS comparison. I think that you have absorbed that influence a long time ago..and pursued and developed your own visual aesthetic, but one which is equally unmistakeable. GREAT WORK!!

  • morpheus71

Another perfectly balanced image Paul – the soft tones; the contrast between the three couples with their independent conversations and the man on the edge of the reflection pool gazing thoughtfully and the way the trees somehow soften the strong architectural shapes. You bring so many elements together harmoniously in your images.

  • aglaia b

    aglaia b

i really love the dude with the giant tree head. hehe
i swear, it’s totally inspired me to do a shoot with a model (dressed beautifully) totally engulfed by a tree like that.
