You should come to Tampa we have lots of neighborhoods that are going through a revitalization and we have some that still look like this image too. :)

Just love those colours, it’s all so sub-tropical and I can just imagine the summer heat from this site…..humid and oppressive….
Jennifer Woodward
Love your vision, Paul! There was a exhibition at QUAD, a fantastic arts gallery near me, called “PhotoCinema”, I only wish I’d have known about it sooner, some of your work would have perfect for it. David Lynch was one of the exhibiters among other fabulous creatives! :-)
Nicole Goggins
great tones and love that air con unit :-)

you can just feel the heat & sizzle from the sun baking the landscape here. -the grass growing thickly under the sedan & the density of the trees reaching around to overtake the house, -love how you see things/life/the world Paul!!
also love your words about how what we find aesthetic being very personal… so true!!

What a great 70’s feel this has to it. It reminds me of the old Polaroid shots my family still cling to even though the film is peeling away from the plastic backing. I would love to see a book on this subject ~ hint, hint!
TextureoftheSin
You make the banal interesting!
Pilgrim
Paul, yes this is too me banal also, but it is how you see it and I think great art lets us see the wonder behind all things.
Danielle Prowse
Very picturesque indeed!!
Cathleen Taraw...
... and I’d buy that too.
Tracey Mac
I like the vastness of the concrete carpark…......framed by the pastel wall…......then the pastel house looms….........so American…......you have such an eye for these, so you might as well do a book :)
Robyn Lakeman
Great capture, would love to go there. I think America is a very diverse country with so many wonderful photographic opportunities
KiwiAna
Fantastic Paul!

the light is so totally different!

Love the light and colour. Also the missing hubcap off the rear wheel caught my eye …
CLiPiCs
yet again you take the mundane and make it marvellous
a pic of a knackered car outside a house
and yet it say so much

i am taken by the cleanliness of the parking lot!!! This is an interesting image indeed. As a child I spent a short time in Biloxi and this image is so very “down home.” Southern texture indeed…
Heather Rivet...
I agree these are fantastic images and would do well as a coffee table book.
Tordo
That car looks like if it had been there for months! I guess that also adds to the magic of the scene.
mikepaulhamus
these shots are like going back in time kind of feel to them, I feel lots of your work has like a dream feel or still like stop in time feel to them…. great treatment to get that effect.
Heloisa Castro
great picture
Jason Chetwynd...

Pip Gerard
And I think you should do a book!!!
Pip Gerard
and you’re right… our own asethetic tastes are so very personal. They can’t be taught or learned I don’t think… they just are.

It’s so very 1952. Charming. :)
(And I think the amount of FG/foreground you’ve included gives it
that extra special something.)
ANNETTE HAGGER
Love the 50’s ‘feel’ to this image…......excellent work Paul, you have a good eye….......anna : )
Steven Sandner

I did a double take when I realized this wasn’t a shot of West Auckland.
Amazing- it looks like home to me.
