Oh this is FAB paul, not only do I love the perspective but the dark tones really add to the piece. Railway tracks always make for such interesting shots, they give a nice line for your eye to travel with. I love the bound man, your eye leads right to him. Love this, thank you Paul for sharing:)

Great self portrait – it works really well… Has a real sense of (creative) freedom to it. Its a great idea and I think its a great portrayal of what looks like a liberated Paul Vanzella.

this plays with my eyes, the lines, he seems to be hanging on by a thread, almost floating, or sliding… not sure if that explains it but he dosn’t seem to be connected to the ground at all and yet he is lying upon it…. inspirational photograph

Its Monday morning, I’m meant to be doing the end of month figures for the ATO….what better place to be than perusing the Paul Vanzella portfolio! I don’t know if anyone had noticed, but is that a nail in your left palm????? The orientation of this is disconcerting to the extreme….fabulous work, Paul!

The perspective on this one messes with my head… but in a totally cool way! What strikes me here is that he lays there willingly, nothing binds him… Its a train wreck waiting to happen and yet he looks like he simply belongs there.
Marnie Kirkness, 6 months ago
i wonder how many people turned their head upside down to view this too? Its striking, the colour an lighting are fab.

I fell about laughing when I saw this. The Dali painting “Christ on the Cross” I think is it’s real name, although in Glasgow we just call it ‘The Dali” so I could be wrong, is one of my favourites and this is a tremendous reworking of the idea. It’s making me a little dizzy, though…

aglaia b, about 1 month ago
wow, what a magical viewpoint.
the vanishing point truly makes me believe that the railroad is really a high rise building that you are attached to.
it looks like you are just about to dive off this building.
love how you’re defiant pose really adds to the perspective and drama.
