Oh that is so beautiful! Love the light on the hills in the background, and the light on the gorgeous cypress in the foreground….I feel like I’m there….wanting to spread the branches and see what’s behind!

Love the lighting and the striking contrast between the hedge and the mountains….

it really is all about the lighting Paul, your style still shines through, but its the way you capture light that captivates the viewer, top drawer work.

the reduction in the colour palette has worked very well (again) – you are the master at taking what could have been a hum-drum scene and making it into something to view, to be intrigued by… excellent Paul.

Great shot Paul and lovely treatment, I really like the square crop too, but I think mostly its the wavey patterns of light, first with the edges of the bushes, then the mountains and then the clouds, it all balances beautifully!

Love the contrasts in textures and colours. You lightig is brilliant . But what I like most is the sense of adventure here….. and the hope that maybe outside of our cloistered hedged in worlds there is something more just waiting for us to discover.

But OK, it’s what most of us see over our hedges… more and more these days. Seems advancement of technology and feeding of our creature comforts is creeping up and taking us from behind… sort of like in Man and Machine, but in a slightly more subtle way.

Hope I’m getting your drift here… or maybe power lines will become artistic embellishments… like graffiti on NYC subway cars.

I like that your slightly dull processing makes the intrusion seem to blend in… like we hardly even notice anymore. Paul, stop. You’re making me think again…

LOVE the lighting!!! And the powelines just finishes it off…great to see how something that is usually a pain the the bum while shoot pics can actually be turned around into a feature!!
