Fantastic angle, I really like the softness of the models face..
Nando MacHado
Nice, as usual. I like the soft highlights. They give the image a renascence feel.
Naomi Frost
Another wonderful collaboration between you and Jo. This is beautiful and soft.
Craig Goldsmith
Congratulations Paul and Jo on developing such a cool series of images, the whole set really takes you on an interesting and questioning ride. Once again well done to both of you, and I look forward to your next collaboration.
Kitsmumma
Love the tones and treatment, gives it the feeling of a painting. Great work, both of you.
Mark German
I like this a lot, Paul.
The composition really appeals, the model’s expression is angelic, and colour/treatment works very well with the old-time feel of the piece.
Lisa Roberts
Absolutely lovely – this is a classic x
Kitsmumma
also, meant to addn that it feels as thought she is under water.
Claudia Reitmeier
this is absolutely yours – your ideas and realisations are surprising me ;-)))
Mel Brackstone
The texture in this is absolutely wonderful, Paul, I love the way you’ve shown such a disorientating angle too, its disturbingly hypnotic! Bravo!!
Sharon Hammond

Deborah Parkin

JayVee
Beautiful work from both of you. Fantastic setting, great picture and gorgeous facial expression.
pwruiz
Love the palette employed here Paul, and isn’t Jo an exquisite model….a great collaborative piece from both of you.
aaria
Oh, Paul, this is so beautiful. I love the textures you created in her skin, also how the left side of the piece is reminiscent of the weathered cracks found in an old oil painting, in contrast to the way you have left the grass to look ‘real’. The figure looks porcelain like a sculpture. She really does look as though she is leaving this time and place. Great title! Just beautiful.
Arthur Chambers
outstanding-brilliant-////////////////
Suzanne German
had to look twice before i realised she wasn’t underwater – what a beautiful illusion paul – well done as usual!
rock
The tones and treatment you have used gives it the feeling of an old Masters painting.
The underwater feel is has is just magical.

very cool collage/compo…
Lindsay Blamey
Redbubble’s very own Rembrandt!! this is a fantastic style you have created.. a great mix of old new and it really suits the series. You have taken Jo’s wonderful pose and turned her into a Goddess. The touch of photorealism in the grass is a great contrast with the painterly renaissance feel. Ascension is a fitting end to the series. how about 1 more?
meanderthal
beautiful image…... I like the soft watery finish to the picture like she’s swimming up from the depths of some giant well…..... great stuff…. I wish I had time to take some shots myself at the moment but your pics are keeping me inspired…. all the best paul.
velveteagle
Enough to catch your attention and give your mind an introduction to find the story.. You now can relax and enjoy a bowl of ice cream with your favorite topping.. Bravo
Louise Cooke
orientation is fantastic…makes it feel like she’s swimming upwards, very convincingly! Wonderful creation!
Paul Vanzella
WOW – thanks for the awesome comments and following the ride that is The Quiet Earth… Jo is thinking of writing some short stories to go along with the series – and hopefully we’ll do a one off book or something… maybe have it avaliable as a PDF download or an actual digital print of the book… thanks for the great comments – have heaps more shots, so definitely want to put them together one day. And as for Lindsay – once you ascend you never come back down… (and Andrew, I have seen Jo with a T-Shirt on…. once!)
ChimpCity

Some wonderful comments above and i’d like to echo all of them but also add that this collaboration between model and photographer is again producing outstanding artistic work. Above it is mentioned that Jo would like to write some short stories to combine with the images presented… What a great idea and extension to the collaboration… Perhaps a book type publication could be considered entitled (and themed) “The Quiet Earth” with the visual and literary combination? I think there’d be more than a few of us here who would support such a product! Well done again you two!
