I love these cross sections of life that you bring us. Makes me stop and think about what we see around us in everyday life… we generally only see the surface and are too busy or too blind or just too apathetic to try and discover what goes on beneath.

Bryce Canyon is awesome. Dead trees are cool. And in this Florida heat any hint of ice or snow is a welcome relief, even if it is just a picture!

Ok what kinda treatment do you use? Or is it a secret, lol…you’ve proved that you can make anything surreal looking!

The center treee, without leaves?? One might believe it is a sad, and dead tree. I see it as YOU, different and stark, but surrounded by beauty…just waiting to regain it’s rooting for fresh leaves, and for the sun to return. The landscape is surreal, and yet, not – comforting, somehow familiar, but caught in a season beyond the four we know. The season of your mind?? I want to live in that season.

I’ve driven through Brice Canyon many times during my years as a long haul trucker Back in those days I was too busy casing the almighty “buck” to stop and shoot anything. Thank God I’m not in that rat race any more! Great shot Paul! Congratulations on the feature.

There are many ways to “see” a place. I have just returned from there, and admire your take on the place. Bryce is about exposed layers, freezing/thawing, and the effects of light.
