Give me a sign...
We’re all looking for a sign (every now and then), this is where I want to be – in a pure minimal landscape… oh, and that also sells Italian food!

This is fantastic Paul! Love the composition of this… the style of the image works so well with the subjects.. masterful processing! I love the graphic element of the sign set against the deasturated desert floor and that fantastic sky.. Love it!
Neil Johnson, 2 months ago
Great shot! Looks like AZ! I like the overlay for the sky. It’s hard getting the sky in AZ without it being blowout.
victor, 2 months ago
I could live there

Amazing sky, great shot. Not sure about the sign? Is it Dam Bar and Grill, or Dam!!@#$ Bar and Grill :)

Hey Paul.. Time to share some wine and feel the breeze.. When the time comes it will take the wind out of our lungs .. Our first breath will never be remembered… Great work..
billyboy, 2 months ago
Paul, this is just the kind of sign you’d see in the distance, driving though Arizona hoping against hope that it would turn out to be a gas station. More often than not, the sign would advertize a creek or a rock formation… at least this place had food! You’ve truly captured the vibe of the vast nothingness between nothing!!
Sharon Hammond, 2 months ago
I wouldn’t be dying to eat there. What a fabby capture

A scene we would all like to pocket and take home. The possibilities are endless. Shirt Shack, Sunrise Homes, Italian Food and Foto Quick!!!! A retirement plan.
And a high degree of adventure.
Barssel, 2 months ago
There is a solitude in your latest work Paul, are you home sick? Not a criticism just an observation…..................really evocative image this one, remember that film with “Spencer Tracey”, the one where he had one arm…................thats what this one made me think off.
LoveMy7Cs, 2 months ago
Italian food and a foto quick.
Sure there’s a dam hotel close bye too.
What more could you want?

I love the loneliness in this landscape. You do miracles with light. It is your light that changes an ‘ordinary’ scene into the most important moment in Universe. You can’t miss this sign. That is the beauty of this landscape: it is uncomplicated and clear. In the complex environment of every day life the signs often are harder to read. I miss signs now and then … and pay the price.
