A bitterly cold (-20C) and snowy December walk up the prominent Shropshire landmark the ‘Wrekin’ produced this panoramic shot looking back over the adjoining ‘Ercall’, and the night lights of Telford, Shropshire buried under dense fog.
I stood for a while just admiring the surreal effect that the passing car headlights on the nearby M54 motorway gave.
Concentrating on levelling and firing off a few testshots, I was nearly frightened to death by an early morning walker who had stopped to enquire what I was taking a picture of. It’s not the first time someone’s sneaked up on me, and probably won’t be the last! Heart attacks aside, I’m pleased with this one as Telford is a relatively new Town, and as such, isn’t known for its charm or character as much as the more touristy type towns around the county.
