Cedric and Gordon got together in the autumn of 2008 and spent many months perfecting their act in the small stage venues. The performances almost always sold out and the pair seemed destined for stardom.
It wasn’t long before rumours began to form that Cedric wasn’t as popular as he first thought, and that he was regularly being passed over for such things as autographs and people braking when he crossed the street. Then one summer evening disaster struck.
Gordon was hit by a number 42 bus and had to have his body amputated. The accident was made all the more mysterious as he was tending his garden at the time.
Despite this, Gordon didn’t let such a minor inconvenience put a stop to his career and made his sparkling debut as Yorick just three weeks later.
In the Spring of 2011 and much to the annoyance of Cedric, Gordon was nominated for three Oscars and took all of them home with him. Then he mysteriously vanished for two weeks. Luckily his head was spotted by a passing cyclist in a clump of bushes near Shrewsbury. His body was never found.
This winter Cedric and Gordon plan to return to the circuit with a comedy act, although oddly enough Gordon is reported to be the straight man.
Unfortunately none of this is true so I can’t get you tickets.
