Nice work, although I think I like the added warmth in the earlier version – her skin seems kind of flat in comparison.
Yeah, it was a conscious decision to mute the colours to make her skin tone more realistic. It probably suffered in terms of overall warmth as a result.

For some reason, it started looking like a landscape to me – I was thinking about putting a silhouetted farmhouse and windmill on the other end.
