Remarkable color and photo, Patty. What a tree! Why does it have these amazing hues?

  • Patty Boyte replied

Thanks Jan, I just did some reading however cannot determine why, the color? Perhaps one of our mates can answer this question, I’d like to know as well.

Just love the colour of those wet gums – yet another ripper PAB.

  • Patty Boyte replied

Thanks Richard, I do too however I think it falls short of a ripper.

No idea why rain intensifies their colours – it just does – especially snow gums! And it is a ripper on colour alone ; )

  • Patty Boyte replied

Morning! so is this a snow gum?

  • Richard Stanley

    Richard Stanley

No, it’s not a snow gum – they are smaller, much slower growing gums, but have no idea what kind of gum it is!

Hi Patty…great shot…I love the colours. I may be wrong with this but, as it was taken in Tassie (Tasmania) I think the tree may be a Swamp Gum….but don’t hold me to that … ;-)....LOL

  • Patty Boyte replied

Hi Less, Thanks for the information and very kind comment! ; )
