This is a wonderful shot – love the roo’s face and ears, and how he/she seems to be floating behind the thistles.

Great shot Patty, how did you train him to sit for you. Love it.
Patty Boyte replied
Actually it’s stuffed and I just stuck it behind the thistle! lol ; ) Was I lucky or what? He must have been eating behind the thistle down low. I didn’t even see him at first, I was enjoying the look of the thistle and he popped his head up. I probably startled him and he froze.

Not sure whether that’s a peek-a-boo, or he’s about to jump over those thistles and biff you one. Seriously, did you know they can actually be dangerous if cornered? Still, you’re at greater risk from a stroppy bee.
Nice candid image.
Patty Boyte replied
Richard told me I could walk up and give it a pet!! Only joking, I was being cautions and using the tele lens. ; )

I agree with Marilyn B. It does have a storybook quality to it. It is a children’s book waiting to be written with this little guy on the cover! He’s so cute! You could call him Wally or something! Love it!
