When I bought this china it made me think of Easter. The cup, saucer and tea plate are very much Art Deco, a 1930’s trio made by Superior Bell China. The design is `Bouquet’. I like the stylised daffodil pattern produced in yellow, mauve and pink. The china is trimmed extensively with gold, the gold being incorporated around the daffodil pattern.
The milk jug is Foley China pattern 2182. The design has cottage garden flowers including hollyhocks with overhanging trees on a creamy base. The handle is baby blue in colour. The rims are trimmed with gold.
The tablecloth was bought in an antiques shop and is hand stitched with pretty flowers.
I used Saunders Waterford NOT watercolour paper 200lb. The paints I used were Winsor and Newton Winsor Blue, Rose Madder and Indian Yellow.
