I shot this last year back when I was still shooting partially on ‘idiot mode’ this was shot with my Canon 450D (AKA rebel) 18-200 IS lens@200mm, ISO 100 , exposure 1/320s at F8. I took three images of this pelican and this one was the best. Its as is from the camera but I was tempted to play with it a little at first but I left it alone!!
I had no flash gun. This was a very bright morning just after sunrise but it was also a little hazy and this took care of the direct sunlight but and I used the pole to block some of the reflection of the sun in the water so this was the result. Hastings and Western Port Bay has the most amazing sunrises.
