I’ll take better pictures when I get a better camera.
Perhaps, but the most sophisticated equipment in the hands of a poor photographer will not produce stunning images.
I have a photographer friend who started out several years ago using a simple point-and-shoot camera. Her images were superior to some of mine taken with a more sophisticated camera. Now she has a top-of-the-line camera and takes superb images, but I have not forgotten that she produces superb images even without the fancy equipment.
Always remember that without the artist’s eye in the viewfinder and finger on the shutter button, a camera is nothing more than electronic parts encased in a hard shell. You are the creator of the spectacular image!
Lifeless in its protective case, a camera only creates through you!

Words of wisdom here and so true. I would love to have a better camera then my D80 LOL but cant justify the cost as I don’t think I have pushed my current cam to its limits yet. A camera is just a tool and the photographer makes the magic happened !

Very nice Patricia, I was wondering this the other day. Now that I have great equipment why can’t I produce some great art. Maybe it’s back to finding what I do best.

Sometimes, Troy, I think we are our own worst critics. I know that I am often too critical of my work. My pondering was to encourage those with less expensive equipment. I think you produce wonderful work. The lighting in your image below is beautiful and the details are amazing!

BRAVO BRAVO My 1st photography instructor told us it didn’t matter what camera we brought to class – learn the basics and you can use any camera.!!!

wisdom indeed, I want to traipse off with my camera & do some ‘proper’ lessons to get more out of it, maybe one day soon :-D
