This autumn image of an old Montana homestead was taken years ago with my film Canon SLR. The location was near Kalispell in the northwest corner of Montana.
The image was scanned and not as sharp and clear as I prefer so I post processed it in Photoshop to achieve this painterly effect.

I love the treatment, great work Patricia!
love the processing, looks like a painting!
This is really nice!
So gorgeous and rustic- or should I say dilapidated- whatever- it is a cracking shot Patricia- I love it!!
Hey Patricia…Used to live in Butte and Anaconda Montana…and up there, these are referred to as “fixer uppers.” And hell, this one is in relatively good shape! Hehe…thanks for sharing this and jogging some memories. I second all the comments you received so far. Nice work!
There’s something about the word “homestead” that is so interesting!!! You try to picture a young family building their home in the wild with whatever supplies they have handy!! Nice shot Patricia!!
It’s wonderful and the post processing is great, hope you are ok and your loved ones improving.
Super cool! It really does look like you painted it! Awesome Patricia!
Stunning really! Love the “painterly” effect :O)
Excellent revival of an old photo. Very artistic.
