One of a series of images taken in and around my hometown.

An infrared image taken just below the crest of historic Myrtle Hill Cemetery, a hillside cemetery that covers 25 acres built on 5 terraces and is individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The early citizens of Rome, Georgia chose hills for cemeteries because of the flooding of city’s three rivers.

The image below is a view from the other side of the hill.
