Image taken at the Route 66 Museum in Elk City, Oklahoma. The Choctaw, Oklahoma and Gulf Railroad (CO&G) completed its main line between Memphis, Tennessee, and western Oklahoma by 1900. The construction west to Amarillo, Texas panhandle was completed by 1902.
