The Secret

These little brothers are Blue Heelers (Australian Cattle Dogs) and celebrated their 3-week birthday on October 11th. Their father is a Blue Heeler that belongs to a friend of ours. Their mother is our beloved pet, Dottie, an abandoned and abused Blue Heeler who wandered onto our property one day about 5 years ago. It was divine intervention!
Dottie was starving, ribs showing through her thin coat, and the only food I had was some cat food. I fed her, she fell in love with me, and me with her. Dottie is a very smart dog with a large repertoire of tricks that always impress folks who meet her for the first time.
This is Dottie’s first off-spring and we were so excited to get some of her pups. We expect them to be just as smart as their mother!

Your story about Dottie just touches my heart
Patricia and the kindness you have given her. My little dog chloe came into my would around about the same time with sadness and is still with me today. These two little darlings are just beautiful and I know the blue cattle dog very well because we used to have one.

What a heavenly story!!! And the look that puppies have, is too much to resist!! My son and daughter in law…picked up a stray…way out in the country….all alone… walking in the road. They stopped and picked him up. He was sick..and in a mess. A Boxer mix… But with time, and much care….. he is now a beautiful dog…and Steph’s best friend! Not to speak of Aaron! He sleeps with Steph…. as Aaron works at night. Now that she is pregnant, he sleeps right up against her stomach. He used to sleep at her back..and never move. He cries when she walks to another room, with him!. Oh me. :)

strays and neglected dogs make the best pets…they know unconditional love and are the best teachers of the same. My Shasta girl was neglected when I got her. She delivered 6 puppies about a month after we got her, didn’t know she was pregnant, she woke me up at 2:30 in the am..she was the BEST mom and by far the BEST friend I have EVER had..seems you have the same in your Dottie…lucky her…lucky you..lucky the “boys”...sweet shot !!
