Drive-In Movies

If you are old enough, you will remember going to the drive-in movie theatre. By the way, did you have any teen hiding in the trunk? And it was a ritual to pull up to the speaker pole, pull in a speaker to check to see if it was a working one. If not, move the car to the next one. I have memories of the drive-in from as early as my childhood, when Mom put us in our pajamas and brought along a pillow and a blanket when we chose dreamland over movieland.

What a great piece of nostalgia – car & movie spearker! We didn’t have drive-in movies in New Zealand when i was growing up, I was in my late 30s before going to my first drive-in here in Australia :-D

Lovely shot,l can remember the amount of people that used to lose a window driving away with the speaker still attached to it lol ! one of our favourite outings was to the drive-in ! thanks for taking us back
