Trial and (T)error HDR Experiment. This is HDR ish sort of filter just to see watch ponder about it….
You know I have a love/hate relation with HDR captures….. some HDR photography of others I do like but there are also lots HDR photographs I really can’t appreciate. That’s a matter of taste and has nothing to do with the person who made it. Because I do appreciate all the efforts one made when creating art!
Anyway I will follow the advice to do once or more then once something you don’t like and will use HDR. Simply I want to learn, discover the technique and all the possibilities it has. Perhaps the liking will follow :) Will give it a real go in time….

I like it. At first I found it a bit dark, but in fact that adds to the intensity of the image.
I would keep it and leave it as is. I like the HDR effect, but only when it is not over done and when it starts looking a bit too cartoonish. Certainly not the case here.

  • Thank you for your usefull comment Buckwhite, I’m still doubting but maybe it is because for this capture I used a HDR filter and not the real technique yet…
Some photographs in HDR have so many details which are overwhelming me when looking at it for me it is then: A sort of traffic jam for the eye too much information. :)

Unlike Guendalyn, this image doesn’t make it for me. For me HDR should keep highlight from being blown out and at the other end of the spectrum bring out shadow detail. As far as the artistic use of HDR see this image

  • Thank you for the explanation you’re right. This was only a HDR filter layer just to approach the effect.
I saw your example which is beautiful in it’s own way. For me personally I’m struggling with the loads of details I have to absorb :) But that’s part of the process of learning and observing on the moment for me.
Thanks Wolf for your honest opinion!

Patjila you post your pictures the way you like if you like what you see others will to .

their will always be people who like pictures and their will always be people who think they could be better art is not for others it’s for yourself if you please others by sharing then its a good day .

  • Well said Stumcg thank you lots! For me it was just finding out: do I like it myself and what do others think of it just to hear the different opinions and explanations works too. Hope you have a brilliant weekend and a Merry Christmas.
