A Longsword display: art of blacksmithing.
Sword making is both an art and a craft and it takes hard work, a lot of practice and a significant amount of specialized tools to create a sword. It also takes many years of practice to become proficient at this skill.
In the following weeks I will be capturing the Master Blacksmith Wout during his work and make a complete series of photographs about the process of forging swords. A real challenge, looking forward to it.
Equipment: Eyes, hands, mind, soul, Canon Eos 30D
blacksmith art, longsword display, still life, medieval crafts, guild pieces, heavy metal, street photography, weapons, knights, metal work, different blades, swordmaking results, characteristics, master pieces, medieval armour
